The North East 500 circular route takes in the very best of mountains and coastline and is shown on the main interactive map as a solid black line. Also shown on the main map are star markers with highlighted visitor events throughout the year so that you can make the most of your journey! 

The interactive map will give point information on the must see and do locations along the route revealing Great Walks; Best History and Culture, Wildlife and Nature. It will also show the locations of promoted businesses members giving useful information and providing links for booking.

The 500 mile Road Route can be tackled either clockwise or anti-clockwise, let us know which way you choose!

Start at any location along the Route and do as little or as much as you want, making sure to spend as much time exploring as you do travelling. If planning to do the full circular route in one journey we would recommend you start and finish at a memorable location and make sure to get some great start and end selfies.

For our first time we chose the Beach Ballroom in Aberdeen with the sea and beach providing a great background. We strongly recommend that sufficient time is allowed to travel, explore and enjoy and members will receive access to 4 day itineraries for each of the six Route Sections.
